Singing Training Days

We had a very useful (and entertaining) Singing Training Day in April 2011with a professional voice coach.

In Autumn 2009, the previous training session was led by Graham Ross, the Principal Conductor of The Dmitri Ensemble, guest conductor of Aalborg Symfoniorkester, Tallis Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia of Cambridge and Choir and Orchestra of London.  Graham is one of today's youngest published composers, and has also recently been appointed as Assistant Conductor for Glyndebourne 2010.

Singing for Haiti

In February 2010, members of the Choir joined other singers from across Nottinghamshire to perform Faure's Requiem in Southwell Minster.  Pupils from Wellow House School read poetry they had written specially about the Haiti earthquake, and choirboys from the Minster sang the Pie Jesu.  The event was well attended; well over £2,900 was raised to help in disaster relief.
